 Nicholas Courtney
Doctor Who's redoubtable Brigadier
Nicholas Courtney has enjoyed a long and varied acting career, but it is his association with Doctor Who that has stayed with him longest. First appearing as Bret Vyon in 1966 opposite William Hartnell, he went on to play moustachioed defender of the earth Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart - better known as The Brigadier - as a regular character from 1967 to 1976, and again for several special appearances in the 1980's. He has recently returned to the role in several audio adventures for Big Finish.
In The Scarifyers, Nicholas Courtney plays Detective Inspector Lionheart.
