The Willows are the eccentric couple who run Denge's village pub, The Donecombe Inn. George is the belligerent host with a dislike for city folk, while Martha, whose uncanny portrait adorns the pub sign, is much more welcoming - as Professor Dunning finds out. They may not like outsiders, but is there more to the Willows than meets the eye?
